    The Undergraduate Certificate in Business introduces students to essential academic and business-related skills, including information technology, business writing, management communication, mathematics and academic English. It supports students in building confidence, study skills and subject knowledge as a foundation for progression to higher-level business studies.

    Programme Overview

    The Undergraduate Certificate in Business at Pickering Global Campus, a Member College of Woolf, is designed to provide students with essential academic, communication and business-related skills for further study. The programme introduces students to key areas such as general studies, information technology, business writing, management communication, mathematics for business analysis and academic English.

    Through a supportive and interactive learning environment, students will develop transferable skills in communication, digital literacy, quantitative reasoning, independent learning and academic writing. The programme helps students build confidence and a solid foundation for progression to the Undergraduate Diploma in Business or other higher education pathways.

  • Assessment

    Each module is assessed by any combination of continuous assessments, examinations, presentations, projects or written assignments. Assessment methods may vary according to individual module requirements.

    Admissions Requirement

    Minimum Age: 16 years old (base on the birth year)

    Academic Requirement:

    • IGCSE O-Level: Minimum 3 GCE O-Level pass; OR
    • Successful completion of Year 11 with minimum 60% score; OR
    • Other private or foreign qualification will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

    English Requirement:

    • IELTS: 5.5 overall (all bands 5.0 or above) or equivalent; OR
    • iBT TOEFL: 50 overall (15 or above for Speaking and Writing); OR
    • PTE Academic: 46; OR
    • KTE: Main flight score of 400, speaking and writing score min 400 each; OR
    • Duolingo English Test (DET): 90 overall; OR
    • GCSE/IGCSE: English or English Language or English as a Second Language subject with a C grade; OR
    • Pickering English Test: 60

    Exit Requirement

    Pass all 7 modules.

    Attendance Requirements

    All students must attend at least 75% of the scheduled lecture and tutorial activities to be eligible for assessment.

    Pickering Global Campus Merit Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants who demonstrate strong academic achievement, critical thinking, and creativity. These scholarships are competitive and are available to eligible international students. Scholarship awards are granted based on academic merit, supported by the applicant’s highest qualification attained, as well as performance in the required interview and assessment test. Eligible students may receive a tuition fee waiver of up to 50%, depending on their results, interview performance, and chosen programme of study.
